(More customer reviews)I just recently purchased the LG Kompressor LUV200R model after much agonizing after my old vacuum cleaner bit the dust (no pun intended).I bought it hhgregg for $220, SWEET!I was supposed to buy a different vacuum cleaner, but this one caught my eye instead.After test driving hhgregg's computer aisle internet capabilities, I saw this vacuum got good reviews and also saw that this price was far below the going rate.Sold!
So, I take this thing home and put it together in like 5 mins.Wayyy too easy, we are talking like one philips screw here.
I have 4 cats and 2 dogs.I really need this thing to work some magic.And it did.
This is what I have noticed so far:
1.It's actually kinda quiet.
2.It's moderately heavy, but in a good way.All the pieces and parts are heavy, sturdy plastic.I detect no cheap, flimsy parts.The flexible hose is reinforced with metal and the housing for it is magnetic, kinda cool.
4.It has a switch on the handle which makes the rollers stop for going from non-carpet to carpet cleaning.Cool, 60% of my downstairs is hardwood.No more broom!
5.It's pretty powerful, it can really suck!I saw dust bunnies moving TOWARDS the vacuum!I had to stand on an area rug corner to prevent the thing from lifting the rug up.Stray cat crunchies & litter got sucked up and not blown back (if you've ever had a crappy vacuum, you know what I'm talking about here).
6.The attachment for upholstery and stuff actually works.The rollers kept moving after hitting the upholstery (a first I've seen so far, usually they just stop moving and become just another piece of vacuum flair).
7.The cord retracts, awesome!
8.The cannister is a snap to empty, one button to push and the whole thing goes straight into the trash.No fishing around & yanking out balls of hair.
9.There are 2 filters, which are washable and easy to remove.
10.The cord is not as long as I would prefer it to be.I had to plug in two different places to do a small living room.
11.The cannister also has this kompressor technology to smush up the hair and dirt into a little compact bit, so you don't have to empty as often.I still found myself emptying it for every room though, out of habit.
The true test for this vacuum was my black area rug, which I normally have to vacuum like 10 times to get it clean.Two passes with this vacuum and EVERY last hair was off of it.AMAZING!
Totally thrilled.Would recommend to anyone.
